If we start thinking about bills we need to pay, deadlines we have to meet, phone calls we have to make, meetings, traffic, work and even our thoughts cause us stress. Thats why at the end of the day we feel heavy and tired. The body is equipped with a natural cleansing system. You’ll notice that when you breathe in you feel tension build, and when you breathe out you feel relaxed. There many different types of breaths. In order to release the tension as it builds up, we’ll use the technique of the LONG BREATH. Breathe in slowly and collect the tension you feel within you. Visualize it being collected within your stomach. As you breathe out, let go of the tension and allow your breath to be completely released. The breathing pattern for the long breath is paced slowly but inhaling deeply. This gives time for the tension to be collected from the deepest parts of your system. You’ll feel clearer after every breath.

Take it Slow

Sometimes it feels like we’re in fast forward. As the day progresses it feels like we just started it even though we’re half a day in. In a sense hurrying becomes something that we get use to. It becomes the norm and we hurry, even when we don’t need to.

Let’s try slowing it down.

One minute is all it takes. Just take a breath and let it go.

Take a deeper breath and let more of it go.

Let it all go.

You’ll probably notice that the day seems to slow down.
As you continue to take slow deep breaths, you’ll notice that everything is manageable, clearer and even tranquil.

:::::::: Here are a few things to place into your day that will help maintain tranquility throughout the day::::::::

1) Give yourself some time to wake up before you leave the house in the morning so you can plan out your day.

2) Visualize how you want your day to go. What do you want to experience? What do you want to do? How do you want to feel?

3) As you go through the day remember to give yourself those few moments to Take it Slow…..Breathe….and Let it All Go….

4) At the end of the day take some time before you go to sleep to just relax a little bit and to reflect on the things you did during the day.

:::::::: You should expect your days to start getting better and better ::::::::

Aren’t we entitled to have fun all the time if we wanted to do so?

Think about the feeling we get when we’re in full enjoyment of the situation. It feels great. It makes the world around us alive and makes us completely happy for the most part. While we do have our duties surrounded around the every day, the weekend shouldn’t be our only focal point for fun. We should try to have fun every day at least a little bit.

Think of it as having mini-fun.

A drive to the beach, scoop of ice-cream, a good show on tv, a conversation or anything that will bring a smile to your face can be a form of mini-fun.

Make a plan to set up several mini events like this throughout the week. They don’t have to be grandiose adventures that might set you back. Just mini-adventures you can have throughout the week that make you feel good and promote a sense of happiness.

Having mini-fun will improve the quality of your life and make our busy weeks alot lighter.

Mini-Fun anyone?

My mom was diagnosed with Transient Global Amnesia.
TGA is a fluke that can occur to anyone, usually over the age of 50. This condition can happen at any given moment with initial signs of dizziness and confusion. For the most part there is not a traceable reason why this happens other than the usual causes such as stress and tension.

For the most part there is no cure and the effects can last for about 24 to 48 hours on average, with the person gaining their short term memory back hour after hour.

Having experienced this for the first time, I did not know that this was TGA, nor have I ever encountered TGA before. I simply walked into a situation where my mom was experiencing a general disorientation of awareness. I quickly followed with some simple hypnotic techniques used to focus on an object or a feeling. This focus takes away from the disorientation by focusing on a feeling. Usually this feeling would be me applying an acupressure point in the arm very lightly so that pressure or discomfort pours out of the applied pressure point. Little by little I took her into a hypnotic state where she was able to get in touch with the loss of memory.

In an interesting turn of events, the following explanation took place. She suffered a dramatic shock that was so great, she thought she was going to die. In a way, this
dying version of herself sent herself into a future tense where that version of herself was much stronger than her current version. From there, a swap took place and her future self was took the place of her dying self. Perhaps a little convoluted so I’ll simplify it below.

1) Weaker Version of herself encounters a shock that kills her.

2) Weaker Version catapults herself into a future time and makes contact with a Greater self as a way of survival.

3) They swap places.

4) Greater self takes the place of the weaker self and is able to handle the trauma and survive.

And after this discovery, the Greater self suffers from disorientation. Rightfully so….traveling from one time line to another is no easy task. Especially swapping one you for another you so to speak.

For the most part, these version upgrades or swaps happen without the person ever being fully aware of the incident. It happens within an unconscious level that is so hidden from the consciousness that we can continue living without ever knowing it took place. I was able to get her into this hypnotic state within minutes and was able to connect with the incident exactly the way the person perceived it. The swap took place as a defense mechanism. One version of herself couldn’t handle the trauma she received and she called out to a future her that could save her.

At that moment within the session (the dive), though she was lucid and clear the disorientation was inevitable and took hold shortly after. Amnesia-tic states are often considered the closest thing to logical time travel that a human will ever experience. Though I have other perceptions and beliefs on this matter we will stick to the topic at hand. Here is a link to an interesting read on TGA.

Ultimately my session was interrupted by a door slamming over and my father screaming at the top of his lungs very afraid of what was transpiring to my mom. Understandably so, she snapped out of the trance and entered the normalcy of the amnesiac state.

Little by little her short term memory was returning and she could remember the session. Usually when TGA attacks, the person will not remember the moments of the attack. As if these moments were washed out of their minds forever. However, hypnosis proved to bring out a sense of understanding and clarity during an otherwise chaotic and confusing experience.

She is doing much better even as I write this and thanks me for this moment of clarity.

I thank her back :D

A thing, not man, nor beast roamed the void locked within a deep sleep. We will simply call this thing ‘1’. There is no reason other than perhaps something other than itself, woke 1 up. Honestly, this is simply not known at the moment of this writing. 1 woke up and upon seeing itself questioned what it was. It pondered this question for an eternity. With no answer, 1 began to think of ways of recovering this perplexing question with a brilliant answer.

What was it?

1, being all that there was, created another version of itself using a portion of its body. 1 sat and observed the other version for another eternity. Suddenly something amazing happened. 1 began to understand what it was. A small glimpse within the desire and drive that fueled him/her paved the way. 1 bestowed upon this creation the same abilities and powers that it had, making it, it’s equal. Most importantly, it gave the other version of itself, now known as ‘2’, the ability to create.

For a very long time, 1 observed as 2 created from its own essence. 1 began to understand its own nature by watching another do as he did.

After another long, seemingly forever void of tunneled thought, 1 decided to divide itself into what is known today as the ‘universe’. From what scientists call ‘the big bang’, life exploded into being. All the things within this universe were subdivided versions of 1. Fragmented, divided and strung along the blank canvas of reality in hopes to understand itself by watching his/her own actions.

Thus, existence existed.

1, fragmented his core essence into one main body, which in turn created another two versions of itself.

Then, there were 3. The original creator, formerly known as 1 took the form of a man, the second that of a woman, and the third took the shape of water. The original creator in turn, being shy and committed towards his role of observer, created God to represent the original ‘whole’. God became the center of attention while the original creator advanced in the analysis of itself.

The world we see. feel and hear around us today is simply the body of the original 1. Fragmented within the illusion of separation in order to understand itself through microscopic observation.

1 became many in order to one day once again, become whole.

"Love is Dead" (excerpt)

The world around me moved in a blur. The type of blur you see in fancy movies with budgets that far exceed their needs. I was running hard, and kicking her away. She kept trying to grab me and pull me in. The grass was green, the sky blue and the river began to bleed as I fell over, smashing my head on a nearby rock. My blood flowed freely, as if my head was an egg cracked over the side of a pan. She kept coming after me. She was vicious, hungry and violent.

What she wanted, I didn’t want to give her.

What she wanted, was too much.

She ran over top of me. Scratching and trying to bite me. Her eyes told me she didn’t give a shit about me. She kept pushing my hands away and continued clawing towards me. I kept pushing as gently as i could. I did everything I could do without hurting her. She grabbed my neck and squeezed with the anger of acknowledged neglect. The top of my head dipped into the water indicating my emotional distortion. She continued to dunk my entire head into the water secretly wishing I would stop fighting her advances.

I smash her over the hear with a rock.

The advances stop.

My wife is dead, but at least I won’t be a flesh eater.

Fight that Disease Hard

The moment is always riddled with...

Fight that Disease Hard

The moment is always riddled with questions. However, within the ideology that life is based on relationships, and these relationships, much like any should be treated with love and respect, fighting, though it happens should be done with caution.

Walking around a relay for life against cancer… The slogan FIGHT CANCER is everywhere.

Now, much like the rest of us, I understand cancer is not a welcomed circumstance. And without diving into the biological aspects of cancer, I will simply denote that there is a relationship there whether we would like to admit it or not.

What is the outcome of any relationship that is based on conflict?

Not too good.

Since the perception of cancer is that it is a mutation of human cells and that it is destructive, who will eventually win this fight?

Ultimately we should look at it in terms of a relationship. A destructive relationship is a destructive relationship. It will eventually destroy any one of the parties involved. This being said, there has to be a point of peace and acceptance on both ends. The agreement is that the relationship is not going to work out. That eventually it will not end well and that it’s best to simply part ways.

The perfect break up so to speak.

This enters into some simplistic laws of harmony. We can agree to disagree and agree to part ways because it will lessen the conflict. Anything that is communicated clearly, honestly and from the heart is never denied. The idea of fighting is futile. Someone will always lose.

Imagine if cancer was a visitor in your home. You don’t want it there so you force it out, yell at it, push it and eventually kick it to the curb.

How would you feel if you were that guest?

Imagine if after all that, the guest stays. It would be awkward and tense making it harder to escort that visitor out the door.

Within the laws of acceptance, you can accept that the visitor is there, explain to it that your time is limited or that this relationship is going to end poorly and excuse it. It’s easier to move something that is relaxed than it is to move something that is tense.

This being the case, fighting cancer, let alone fighting anything will result in loss.

Accepting that the cancer is there, perhaps through an internal communication or meditation asking it to move out harmoniously, might appear simplistic, but ultimately will yield better results.

Throughout my ten years as a therapist, I have seen the results of fighting against an ailment in contrast to the benefits of accepting and letting go.

At the end, cancer as a disease is part of a deep programming unit within the human mind, so seeing it as curable through internal conversation might appear overly simplified because we are told “its a hard fight to win”. So the practice of acceptance and harmonious release is up to the person. You have to believe its doable so that it is. Ultimately this is the case with anything.

However, I will clarify that I am not talking about curing cancer, I am talking about letting it go because it is a relationship that is not accommodating to us.

Peace be with you,
